WhatsApp To Bring New Contact and QR Code Features
Facebook’s popular instant messaging app, WhatsApp, has provided many new features to the user this year. Users also liked new features given by WhatsApp. Now after the emoji, WhatsApp has recently released the Stickers feature on its platform to change the style of chatting. After the sticker feature, the company is now working on creating a search feature and custom sticker to find the stickers.
Apart from this, according to WABetaInfo’s report, the company is working on the “share contact info via QR” feature. By using this feature, users will be able to share their information easily through QR code. This feature will work similar to Instagram and Snapchat snapcode on the name tag and present. WABetaInfo has shared several screenshots on its site.
Watching the screenshot shows that using WhatsApp, users will only be able to scan the QR code and add a new contact. Once the QR code is correctly scanned, you will be able to easily save the information of the new contact in the phone book without closing the app. WABetaInfo has claimed that this feature is currently spotted on the iOS platform. In addition to the share contact information via QR, the company is also working on re-designing new contact features for Android and iOS platforms. According to the report, as soon as you choose the country, it will pick up the country code itself. After entering the phone number, it will show whether the contact is a WhatsApp user.
In the screenshot you can see that ‘Not on WhatsApp’ is written just below the order. This feature of Whatsapp will replace the existing ‘New contact’ shortcut. According to WABetaInfo, both features are not available on Android and iOS platforms yet. The company is currently working on both the features, which is why you will have to wait for the EPFA or beta version released by the company to use these features.
