Xiaomi launched the Mi Pay Payment App in India during the Redmi Go launch event. Payment service based on the Mi Pay Payment App Unified Payment Interface (UPI). In addition to transferring money, the user will also be able to pay the user recharge and bill payment through the UPI based Mi Pay app. Xiaomi has announced during the event that it will be available for payment in the company’s official website, Mi.com and Me Store app.
Remember that, Mi Pay was first launched in China in 2016. Its Chinese version is not based on the UPI framework. In August last year, the entry of the Mi Pay app into the Indian market was reported. Xiaomi had announced in December last year that the company has started beta testing of its digital payment platform Mi Pay in India.
